Access to Information & Protection of Privacy Act (ATIPP Act)
Yukon's Access to Information and Protection of Privacy Act [PDF 324KB] (ATIPP Act) offers individuals a formal method for requesting information held by Yukon government departments. Under the ATIPP Act, individuals may also request corrections regarding their own personal information contained in Yukon government records.
The ATIPP Office administers the ATIPP Act, receives all ATIPP requests and, if requested, assists peopel with the preparation of requests. The request is then sent to the respective department for processing. Once the application is processed, government departments have 30 days to respond to the request.
